Condor Knife & Tool – Heavy Duty Kukri – Budget Woods Warsword

When you need a SUPER heavy duty tool in the wilderness, look to your bigger, thicker blades. Sometimes those tough 3/16 inch blades won’t cut it, so you may need to step up and choose a thicker blade like 1/4 inch or even 5/16. The thickness of these larger wilderness tools aids in weight forward chopping and splitting wood. In this case, the Condor Heavy Duty Kukri is the woods war sword.

Cold Steel has a Kukri similar to this in the product selection, but it costs DOUBLE or more and offers similar performance. Value blades that perform very well are my favorite because they provide a high amount of use for the little amount of money you may spend, which leaves more budget for prepping or other family needs.

The very nature, shape, and design of a kukri allows it to be used comfortably in many ways. As is shown in the video, this convex ground blade is a great shopper and splitter. However, with practice, you can make a thick blade do some finer work.

Overall quality of the blade itself is good, although some less expensive (not bad or low quality) materials are used like leather and wood rather than G10 (or other composite) and kydex or molded plastic. Not to worry though, the Condor Heavy Duty Kukri is high quality, inexpensive, and a HARD use woods tool!
