I initially received this blade and was very happy with it, until I started really checking it out, experimenting with it. When it comes to the user side of things, there are too many things about the knife I don’t like.
First, the overall quality from the factory isn’t the best. I received it with a scratch on the blade, the sheath itself was loose and didn’t form well to the blade. The blade came totally dull.

For the price you pay $90-$120 this knife can be met with some MUCH better blades in the same category of use for cheaper. Check out the legendary Ka-Bar USMC which can be had for $55-$75. The materials of the Nightedge are 1080C (same as Cold Steel’s SK-5), glass reinforced nylon sheath and FRN handles. The knife also is made overseas and given the cheaper materials used, the blade itself should be cheaper.
A US Made fighting/ military type knife via Ontario or Ka-Bar (even the BK7 is a great option at less money) with a great warranty and great build quality and track record can be had with up to $35 less.
Jimping on the blade exists, but it is so soft it might as well be non-existent. Overall, not a terrible blade, not that great either, but given the price, there are better, much better options out there for much less.
